Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using CommerceGov, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not install or use the application.
Service Description
CommerceGov provides a governance workflow that allows authorized organization users to review, approve, and apply product content updates to Shopify stores before changes are written to production.
CommerceGov is an organization-operated governance platform for AI-assisted Shopify product content operations. The service provides workflow controls for reviewing, approving, and applying product content changes to Shopify stores.
CommerceGov operates as a governance layer for commerce operations. The application does not modify store content without explicit human approval within the workflow.
Shopify product updates are applied only after explicit approval and apply actions, executed through worker-mediated writeback with audit-backed command history.
Public Review Build
For the Shopify App Store public review build, CommerceGov does not collect in-app merchant charges. There is no payment card collection, no in-app subscription checkout, and no payment flow on public install or reviewer surfaces for this review build.
Organization Responsibility
Access to CommerceGov is managed by authorized organization users, which may include agency teams, merchant-side operators, or other approved personnel responsible for product content operations.
The organization or authorized operator is responsible for:
- managing access to the application
- ensuring it has authorization to manage connected Shopify stores
- ensuring that approved product changes comply with merchant expectations, applicable policies, and Shopify's terms
- reviewing AI-generated suggestions before any product changes are approved or applied
By using CommerceGov, the organization or authorized operator represents that it has the authority to operate the connected Shopify stores connected through the current Shopify integration and approve commerce content changes for those stores.
Usage
CommerceGov processes product metadata and product content retrieved through the Shopify Admin API in order to provide governance workflows, content review, approval controls, audit history, and product content suggestions.
All product mutations executed through CommerceGov require explicit human approval before being applied to the Shopify store.
AI-generated suggestions are provided as informational recommendations only. Users remain responsible for reviewing and approving all content changes before they are applied to a Shopify store.
Users agree not to use the service for unlawful activities or in violation of Shopify's terms of service.
Service Availability
CommerceGov may modify, update, or discontinue parts of the service at any time in order to improve reliability, security, or functionality.
While reasonable efforts are made to maintain availability, the service is provided on an "as is" basis without guarantees of uninterrupted operation.
Limitation of Liability
CommerceGov is provided as a governance and workflow tool. The operators of the service are not responsible for business outcomes resulting from commerce content changes approved and applied by users of the application.
CommerceGov does not guarantee improvements in search rankings, conversion rates, sales, revenue, marketplace performance, or other commercial outcomes.
Termination
CommerceGov access may be terminated if the application is uninstalled from the Shopify store or if the service is discontinued.
Upon uninstall, CommerceGov revokes operational Shopify access and clears uninstall-scoped operational state according to the Privacy Policy. Governance and audit evidence may be retained for integrity, security, and legal recordkeeping.
Data Handling
CommerceGov processes shop product data only as necessary to operate the governance workflow described in this service.
